Understanding Severe Weather Risk Categories
Severe weather can come up on us in a hurry! You might see me write things as Marginal Risk or maybe even level 3. Below is a chart of all the text version along with the numbers. Severe weather Risk categories from from 0 to 5. 5 being the worst or HIGH RISK.
Multiple Sources to get weather alerts
I am so thankful for you to follow me both on the website and also on Facebook. It’s also ALWAYS good to have more ways to get weather alerts such as watches and warnings. The best way to get them is through a weather alert radio. Personally I think a weather alert radio should be mandatory in every home just like a smoke alarm. I buy my radios through Amazon, but you can get them at pretty much any big box store. There are also some very good cellphone apps out there as well

Where to go during a severe thunderstorm
Having a safe place to go in your home is super essential to ensuring everyone in your home is safe during the time of a severe thunderstorm and tornadoes. Basements are the #1 place to go. If you don’t have a basement or can’t get there in time, then find an interior room. You should also know where to do while you’re at work or even other places that you frequently are at.
In your safe places, it’s good to have the essentials in that area and always there. Bottled water, canned food with opener, flash light with fresh batteries and extras, cellphone charger, pillows, blankets, and more!
During any thunderstorm activities, you need to find a safe place and to NOT be outside.

What’s included: Introduction post once you join and pay, 2 sponsored forecasts per week, logo or business card attached to post, business card or logo attached to the 5-day graphic, and exposure on the website with the forecast. You also get your logo or card on a graphic that’s posted with every forecast (14 times a week). Business Exclusivity: $100 per month added to the pro plan. This means I can’t add on a company that does the same thing in your service area.
Discounts for companies who pay for the full year
Additional Packages:
- $100 per month for a custom weekly forecast for your location sent on Sundays directly to your email. Max Companies: 3 for now
- $450 per month for a custom DAILY forecast for your location sent the night before. Sunday night through Thursday night. Max Companies: 1 for now
- $300 per weather event. You get 2-4+ posts per event when bad weather is coming. This could be severe storms or winter storms. These storm updates get A LOT of exposure with people sharing posts.
